Very accomplished fellow Explorer’s Club Member Christine Dennison writes up my book SUMMER OF FIRE on her blog. She is a true explorer in polar regions. http://myarcticdog.blogspot.com
WALK LIKE AN EGYPTIAN
Egypt on my mind today. Beautiful tombs visited on my research trip for The Stolen Chalice.
THE ART OF WRITING ON A BOAT
Not all offices are on land. Here is an article in Coastal CT Magazine about my habits of writing on boats. http://www.coastalconnecticut.com/not-all-in-the-same-boat/
NEW YORK JUNGLE
Back in New York, the terrace has turned in to a jungle. Staying indoors to write.
CAT DRAMA
Funny story about my cat…in USA Today – Happily Ever After http://happyeverafter.usatoday.com/2015/08/29/kitty-pilgrim-summer-of-fire-cat-domino/
END OF SUMMER
Its always a bittersweet day to leave Menemsha Martha’s Vineyard. But September is almost here, and there are things to do in New York. On to the next adventure.
SUMMER END
The last few days of summer are always the sweetest. The eye looks for beauty everywhere, trying to capture and retain it for the bleak months ahead.
BAD GUY BOATS
While sailing off the coast of Nantucket we came across this mega-yacht. I think it would make a good villain boat in my book. The Stolen Chalice has a boat like this for Lady Xandra Sommerset.
WRITING ON THE BOAT
The view can be both distracting and inspiring. Most of my novels are written on some kind of boat. Fewer phone calls to interrupt.
FARM FRESH
The trip to Morning Glory Farm in Martha’s Vineyard is one of the delights of my day. When I walk in, the smell of fresh peaches and strawberries pervades the place. I love the zucchini bread for my afternoon tea.
